Review: Ink-A-Pets Grey Cat Pen Rest

What better way to kick off the New Year than with a 3D printed cat pen rest?

This is another brilliant creation from Calvin of Ink-A-Pets. The sleeping cat is adorable, and considerably more convenient than a larger amount of cat asleep on my workspace.

It also comes with the same microsuction base that you can buy for the ink holders, except they come already applied for free. This allows you to stick the pen rest anywhere you want, and it will not shift during use.

I also tried cleaning the microsuction pad after it got a bit dirty and less adhesive, and it became as good as new, which ordinary double-sided tape would not. Seriously, do not be afraid to completely wet it in water, once dry if is amazingly sticky!

The cat is just the right shape to rest the pens against when I briefly put my pen down to write, or want to display one. None of the pens I tried slid off, they all stayed firmly in place - the fine texture of the 3D printing may help contribute enough friction to keep the pens stationery.

If you hate your pens rolling off your desk and getting scuffed, consider this adorable little friend to help you out!

I love my Ink-a-Pets vial holders. I'll have to try the pen rest.

My father is a man of impeccable taste and gifted it me for Christmas! It's a fine-nibbed pen from Harrods, it writes like a dream too. And I don't usually like fine-nibbed pens all that much but this is a very smooth nib!
