It's not my fault!
I would never choose to subject my readers to such eye-searing shades of green. Or is it yellow?
Whichever one it is, it's entirely Laura's fault.
When I discussed ink samples with Laura of Pen Boutique, we had an amusing discussion in whch I tried to describe exactly the shade of green I didn't want - a toxic waste green, no, neon green's fine, like the Diamine one I love, I don't like the highlighter yellow-green stuff...
Every so often I meet a company representative with a sense of humour. An evil one.
Yes folks, what you see in front of you is essentially highlighter juice. I'm truly sorry.
But at least it is high-performing highlighter juice! While I couldn't write this review with the ink like I normally would (for the simple reason that my eyeballs would have dissolved) it did do well during testing. It didn't, from what I could see, feather, bleed or eat a hole through both the notebook and my desk. Nor did it melt the pen. In fact, it behaved very well and isn't too wet. This ink leans on the dry side, but it is by no means too dry.
Is there shading? I'm really not sure, since this colour is BLINDING MAH EYEZ!! I'm having difficulty spotting any, but it does seem to shade on the swatch... I think?
This could not, under any circumstances I can think of, be considered an everyday ink if you'd like to be able to read your writing without squinting. It would be perfect for highlighting notes or refilling felt-tip highlighters. Am I going to buy a bottle of this ink? Probably not, but it was kind of fun to try out something that I would have never bought myself. Just because it's not for me doesn't mean that it wont be useful for others. If you happen to need nuclear yellow, go for it!
